Dr. Sullens is from the Asheville and Western North Carolina region. She grew up in Brevard and graduated with honors as a National Science Scholar from Brevard High School. At an early age, she knew she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her idol, the late Dr. Jerry Cabe and pursue a career in dentistry. After receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from University of North Carolina  Chapel Hill, Dr Sullens matriculated into the number one ranked dental school in the country, UNC-School of Dentistry in 1997.

Her dreams finally were realized in 2001 when she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S) degree.

For the next four years, Dr. Sullens practiced as an associate with Dr. Gary Hensley in Marion, NC.  She opened her own practice here in Asheville in 2007 and has been happily fixing smiles for the past nineteen years.
